Sunday morning and the 3 of us headed out to to the tennis courts. I was looking forward to spending some quality family time on the court. It had been 2 weeks since I played with Cyan due to my work schedule. She has been training with Darion. After regular warm ups and drills we planned to play matches. I told Cyan we would play best out of three. We tossed and I got to serve first. On the one hand I didn't want to completely overpower her with my serve but on the other I also wanted to play a fair game. I guess I was too hesitant because I double faulted... 0-15. I decided to just play and I served. She returned, quick and surprised me completely. 0-30. Still surprised, I served again. This time we rallied and I won 15-30. Next rally she won 15-40. I was a bit in shock. She made so much progress! And yes: Game Cyan! Of course now she was all charged up and she made all of her serves. I was so proud that I just couldn't return with power. She looked also so determined. In a reflex I hit a serve back that would have gone out. And she yelled "Point for me!". 40-30 and she looked proudly at her dad. Darion looked at me with the understanding parental look... BUT... to be honest...Game Cyan.
